The Canadian Quilters' Association has issued a challenge to quilters across Canada. Can we stitch across Canada?! The distance across Canada is 307,929,600 inches! For every item that you bring to show and tell, measure the perimeter in inches and bring that measurement to guild. There will be a "Stitch Across Canada" page on the table where you can write your measurements. These will be totalled and sent to the Canadian Quilters' Association on the 25th of each month. The contest runs from September 1, 2012 until February 28, 2013. If you have any perimeter measurements of items that you showed at either the September or October meeting please forward them to me via e-mail. As of the latest update on this challenge Canadian quilters have made it across Newfoundland and are now in Cape Breton! Click here to go to the page on the CQA website to read about this challenge.
